The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA, has announced a three-day pen-down strike from October 14 to the 16th in Nagaland over IAS induction concerns. Employees will report to work but abstain from duties, demanding merit-based selections, transparency, and an end to political patronage.
The protest highlights alleged backdoor appointments and the withdrawal of the March 10, 2025 vacancy circular. Committee members emphasised the importance of upholding meritocracy and protecting the future of aspiring government officers.
