Mayurbhanj, one of Odisha’s most beautiful regions and a natural heritage site of global importance, is now witnessing historic railway progress. 3 stations are under redevelopment, and 3 long-pending rail lines demanded for over 50–60 years have finally been approved.
At Baripada station, ₹7 crore has been invested and work is nearly complete, while Badampahad is seeing ₹12 crore worth of development across buildings, platforms, lighting, and circulating areas.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, 59 stations across Odisha are being modernized as part of the world’s largest station redevelopment program launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. With strong support from both the central and state governments, land acquisition and forest clearances are moving swiftly, ensuring rapid progress.
