Bellanwila Raja Maha Temple
A Buddhist temple located in the Colombo district, roughly 12 km away from the city of Colombo. The temple lies on the Dehiwela-Maharagama 119 bus route. The temple is famous for its annual Perehera amongst its visitors, held in the months of Aug to Sept. The temple is mostly known for the Sacred Bo Tree, said to be over 2300 years old, and is one the saplings from Jaya Sri Maha Bo tree in Anuradhapura.
