Ziplining & Sea Kayaking in Gaspésie | Québec, Canada

Описание: Today is full of adventure on our Gaspésie road trip! We start out at the UNESCO Global Geopark of Percé where you can discover over 500 million years of Earth’s history. Geoparks are areas of particular international geological significance and must therefore be protected. The highlight of the geopark is a suspended glass platform where you can look straight down through the glass floor at the treetops below. If that’s not enough of an adrenaline rush for you then how about a zip line? You can glide down the mountain to a platform below with iconic Percé Rock within your sights. We make a quick stop on the way out of town for Marc to pick up a souvenir t-shirt at a boutique called Choses Percé. It has Percé Rock on the front and looks like the cover of a Tintin book (we’re big fans!). We also visit a plaque dedicated to Sir William Logan who became the first director of the Geological Survey of Canada in 1842. Then we drive to Cap-aux-Os where the adventure continues with sea kayaking to visit a seal colony. We get all suited up and head out at sunset, which makes for beautiful golden hour light and peaceful paddling. What an amazing way to spend the day in Gaspé.
