Lay of the Land - Epic Celtic Music on MK Pro Low Whistle

Описание: I've been enjoying playing with compositions where rhythm plays more of a part in creating the feel. This piece is in 7/8 timing and has a slightly un-even feel. I have also been listening to the audio book of Tolkiens 'the Fellowship of the Ring' recently (partly to do with a project I'm working on with Dave Brons at the moment). I enjoy how Tolkien is able to put you right into the story with small details, especially the parts where Frodo and co are on the road travelling. It's the descriptions of the land and the feel of wind on ones face and the legs aching and the welcome stops for food which bring it to life for me. I suppose I'm reflecting that feel in this piece of music, painting a picture of a journey through more challenging terrain which is not always even and steady going but there is still beauty in it.

As usual I'm playing acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin etc for the backing but taking a break from my beloved Glenluce Bb Tin whistle and using the mighty MK Pro Low D! I love the power of expression it possesses as well as it's beautiful satin green colour with a little ring of brass showing through from the tuning slide.
