" Potentiometer Used to control LED Brightness with Arduino in Tamil |Potentiometer Project in Tamil
This project demonstrates controlling an LED's brightness using a potentiometer with an Arduino UNO. The potentiometer acts as an adjustable voltage divider, allowing us to change the brightness of the LED by varying the input voltage.
To understand the use of a potentiometer for analog input.
To learn how to use PWM to control an LED’s brightness. To utilize a global minimum brightness value in the code.
The potentiometer generates a voltage between 0 and 5V that Arduino reads through an analog input pin (A0) as a digital value between 0 and 1023. This value is then mapped to a PWM range (0 to 255) to control the LED brightness. By defining a minimum brightness value as a global constant, we set a baseline to prevent the LED from dimming below a desired level.
In the code, the minimum brightness value is declared as a global constant, and the potentiometer value is read in the loop(). The map() function is used to scale the potentiometer reading to a PWM range, ensuring the LED doesn’t go below the minimum brightness.
The LED brightness adjusts smoothly with the potentiometer. The minimum brightness threshold prevents the LED from turning completely off, maintaining a visible baseline brightness.
This project demonstrates using a potentiometer with PWM to control LED brightness, incorporating a global minimum brightness constant to prevent the LED from dimming below a desired level.
