(these are my opinions only; any errors or misspeaks are my fault alone)

My son and I traveled to Dubai for both the DUBAI WATCH WEEK and the first ever TIMEZONES WATCH SHOW, an exhibit featuring 80 microbrands from across the globe. The show was a tremendous success and I’m sure was the first of many years of exhibitions. Held within the Burj Khalifa tower – the tallest building in the world – the venue was terrific, the exhibitors were friendly, kind, interested in meeting people, and extremely gracious.

I’ll share with you just a few of the brands I met with during my trip – there were far too many to see them all, and several were so busy with visitors I just couldn’t get to the front of the line without being the “ugly American” – and I REALLY don’t want to be that guy.

We’ll look at Beaucroft, Venezianico, Awake, Selten, Traska, Furlan Marri, Vario, amongst others, but in trying to keep this succinct, I could only include a handful. I hope you enjoy.

While in Dubai, we met the one and only Nico Leonard! We had a conversation of about 5 minutes with him, and he could not have been more gracious. Definitely not the Nico you see on line, LOL.

There were many watches that are most assuredly on my list – a couple of which I ordered upon returning to Doha. So, a very successful trip! I hope you enjoy!
