Try this homemade curry masala recipe to experience the aroma and flavor of freshly roasted and ground spices! Very easy to prepare with minimum ingredients. Can be stored to stay fresh for 6 months.
Ingredients:
1. Peanuts - 1 cup
2. Cashews - 1/4 cup
3. Roasted Chana Daal - 1/2 cup
4. Badaam - 1/4 cup
5. Saabit Kali Mirch - 5 to 6 pieces
6. Long - 2 pieces
7. Ilychi - 2 to 3 pieces
8. Anise Star - 2 pieces
9. Raw Zeera - 1.5 tsp
10. Sounf - 1 full tsp
11. Kashmiri Chilli Power - 1.5 tsp
Method:
Mix first 10 ingredients in a pan.
Roast until the colour changes.
Tip! Place the pan on tava while roasting, on a slow to medium flame. It prevents burning.
Wait until it completely cools.
Once roasted, fill blender in batches to
ensure it's finely ground.
Blend!
Mix kashmiri chilli powder with blended
masala.
