💥 The Crimean War was one of the most important conflicts of the 19th century. The first war between great powers since the fall of Napoleon, this war saw Britain, France, the Ottomans, and Sardinia fight against an expansionist Russia on land and at sea for two years. The Crimean War has simultaneously been called the last ever religious war and the first ever modern war, a conflict where old technology and ideas met the new. This video covers the first half of this largely overlooked conflict, covering the period up to January 1, 1855.
