adobe reader showing wrong icon in taskbar

Sometimes adobe reader shows a different icon from its official or default icon when opened in task bar.
In this video, adobe acrobat reader dc was shown to display the windows 10 photos app icon. Adobe reader may also display notepad icon (peculiar to windows 8 users). And, if you feel concerned about this behaviour or don't like it, you can correct it.

Steps to follow:

1. Click on windows icon or goto start screen (for windows 8 users).
2. Select 'All apps'
3. Look for adobe reader. You'll see it with the wrong icon.
4. Right click on it. Hover over more option and click 'Open file location'.
5. Delete the adobe reader shortcut you see there.
6. Check Apps menu again and remove the icon if you see it.

Now, if you open adobe reader it will no longer display wrong icon again.
