Are you into free jazz and free improvised music? Personally, I find this kind of music hits hardest in a live setting — being there, feeling the energy in the room. But with today’s packed schedules, it’s not always easy to catch everything in person.
Thankfully, someone had the foresight to record this particular performance, and the duo was so thrilled with the result that Antti reached out and asked if we could do a small lathe cut release. So we did — and this is it.
The music is raw, intense, and fully improvised. There's monstrous energy on display, packed into the 18 minutes you’ll hear by spinning this 10-inch. It’s one hell of a ride. Sami Pekkola brings serious experience and pushes his horn into uncharted territory, while Antti Vauhkonen unleashes full-body percussion — limbs, voice, and all — for a truly physical performance.
