In a significant turn of events in the Delhi Excise Policy case, a team of CBI officials visited the residence of former BRS MLC K. Kavitha in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Thursday (March 12, 2026). The officials served summons issued by the Delhi High Court following the CBI’s challenge against the trial court's recent order discharging 23 accused, including Kavitha and Arvind Kejriwal. As Kavitha was reportedly not at home, her husband, D. Anil Kumar, received the notices. The High Court, while staying the adverse remarks against the investigating officer, has directed the respondents to appear or respond by the next hearing date on March 16.
