শনিবার সকাল থেকেই জেলার বিভিন্ন মন্দিরে ভিড় করেন ভক্তরা। বাসন্তী পূজার মহাসপ্তমীতে মন্দিরে মন্দিরে দেবী পঞ্চ উপাচার, ষোড়শ উপাচারসহ বিভিন্নভাবে পূজা কার হয়।

রাজা সুরথ রাজ্য ফিরে পাওয়ার আশায় বসন্তকালে দেবীদূর্গার চরণে পূজা করেন বলেই এর নাম বাসন্তী পূজা বলে জানান পুরোহিতরা।

ভক্তরা মায়ের চরণে ফুল দিয়ে দেশ ও জাতির কল্যাণে বিশেষ প্রার্থনা করেন। আগামীকাল হবে এ পূজার মহাষ্টমী।

On Saturday morning devotees gathered in various temples of the district. In the great temple of Basanti Puja, the temple is worshiped in various temples including Pancha Vaishar, Sixth Vaishar, Goddess at the temple.

In order to get the kingdom back, Raja Surath worshiped the goddess Durga Durga in the spring, and it is named as Basanti Pooja.
