Spearfishing & Fishing Mission with Quin! EPIC Catch and Cook (Fresh Ceviche!)

Описание: Today’s mission is all about gathering fresh seafood straight from the ocean. My mate Quinn (Kaimachine) and I head out for a fishing and spearfishing adventure, hoping to bring home a feed.
The fishing turns on and we manage to land some beautiful kahawai, one of the most underrated fish in the ocean when it’s handled fresh. After that, we jump in the water for a spearfishing dive, where we find a mix of great fish and harvest some perfect kina (sea urchin).
Back home, it’s time for the catch and cook. I prepare a fresh kahawai ceviche, keeping it simple so the flavour of the fish really shines. Then I try something a little different with the kina — serving it on toast with blackberry jam and plum jam. It sounds unusual, but the sweet and salty combination is seriously delicious.
There’s nothing better than catching your own food, cooking it fresh, and sharing it with good mates. Days like this remind me why I love fishing, diving, and gathering seafood in New Zealand.
