Hi everyone! Welcome to Virtual Walks Australia.
Today we walk to the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Beginning at the Queen Victoria Building, a beautiful example of Sydney’s Victorian architecture featuring local and international high-end brands and specialty boutiques. We enter onto George Street, once considered the main thoroughfare of Sydney’’s CBD, now car-free with tram and pedestrian access only.
As we make our way to the harbour we see Sydney Tower Eye, The Strand Arcade, and Martin Place. Notice the examples of Victorian Sydney sandstone buildings along the way. Walking through Circular Quay we catch our first glimpse of Sydney Harbour, The Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Come enjoy this lunch time walk with us.
