Disparities of access to healthcare treatment is seen more clearly now than ever. Here, Faith Crittenden shares with us her view on racism as a public health issue. Faith is a graduating fourth year medical student at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine entering into Pediatrics. She is one of the co-authors on Beyond Declarative Advocacy: Moving Organized Medicine And Policy Makers From Position Statements To Anti-Racist Praxis as well as the American Medical Association’s historic policy, Racism is a Public Health Threat.
