Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra alleged that the Narendra Modi government has failed in every metric of economics, quoting official statistics. She said the poor showing of the Indian economy must indicate who the real “pappu” is.
Speaking in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, December 13, the West Bengal MP also sought to define what the word “pappu” meant according to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Modi government. “The government uses the word ‘Pappu’ to denigrate extreme incompetence. Then now tell who the real Pappu is?” she said, as she went on to quote official figures on various economic indicators.
