Coinbase has launched an international exchange on AWS featuring an ultra-low-latency, institutional-grade trading system built from the ground up. In this session, the Coinbase Exchange team explores the business requirements and technical challenges of running an international cryptocurrency exchange in the cloud, including the application architecture, infrastructure and network architectures, and the performance tradeoffs of its architecture decisions. Learn how Coinbase used Amazon EC2 cluster placement groups, high-performance Amazon EC2 z1d instances, and Amazon Aurora to achieve submillisecond round-trip latency on their trading system.
