Описание: After the New York Giants pulled off an incredible run to tie the Brooklyn Dodgers for the best record in the National League, the two clubs faced off in a best of three playoff series with the winner going to the World Series. After splitting the first two games, the Dodgers held a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the ninth inning in the third and final game. The Giants cut the deficit to two with a Whitey Lockman RBI double to put the tying runs at second and third. The Dodgers brought in the young Ralph Branca to face Bobby Thomson and with an 0-1 count, Thomson lined Branca's pitch over the short left field wall to walk-off the game and win the pennant. The Giants lost to the New York Yankees in the 1951 World Series, but this play remains arguably the most iconic moment in MLB history. It has become known as "The Shot Heard 'Round the World"
