With the help of the pre-made frozen puff pastries, this fancy and oh-so-delicious french cream cake is not too difficult to make. The smooth, homemade vanilla custard is sandwiched between the sheets of crisp, golden puff pastries. It is also called Kremes, a favorite Hungarian dessert!
Ingredients:
1 pkg of puff pastries (2 sheets)
6 eggs
1 L of milk (divided)
150 g of corn starch
300 g of sugar (divided)
1 vanilla bean
pinch of salt
2 cups of heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
powdered sugar
