This is the third and final Sunday I worked on this new piece, now titled, "Cataclysm No.2".
When I paint, I don’t plan — I leap. I don't paint from a reference - the reference is a image in my mind that I can't see until I start to paint, and it changes constantly until the painting says it's finished. The canvas TELLS ME what it wants me to paint on it.
That’s the spirit behind my new LIVE series:
Painting Without a Parachute – Live
Every Sunday at 1PM PT (this show from October 21st), I’ll paint for 30-45 minutes in front of a live audience on YouTube. If a canvas isn’t finished, we’ll continue the journey together week after week, until the story of that painting is complete. I'll finish this painting on Sunday, October 26th.
It’s not just about art — it’s about process, risk, and creativity in real time.
