Amid escalating war tensions in the Middle East, Iran has made explosive allegations against the United States and Israel.

Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reza Najafi, claimed that a joint US–Israel attack targeted the country’s famous Natanz Nuclear Facility on Sunday. According to Iran, this marks the second major strike in nine months on its nuclear infrastructure.

Najafi described the attack as illegal, criminal, and inhumane. He also alleged that a primary school was completely destroyed in the strike, resulting in the deaths of at least 165 schoolgirls — a claim that has further intensified regional outrage.

Iran rejected accusations that it is developing nuclear weapons, calling them false narratives used to justify military aggression. Meanwhile, the IAEA’s Board of Governors has convened an emergency meeting in Vienna following Russia’s request to discuss the reported attacks.

With fears of potential radiation leaks and wider escalation, the IAEA has urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and immediately halt military operations.
