How to Design a Layout for Recessed Lighting

In preparation for installing recessed can-less LED lights in a living room, I will walk you through the layout design. This design is for a fairly straightforward rectangular living room that is 173" wide and 228" long. The LED can-less lights used are thin enough to not interfere with ceiling joists so ceiling joist spacing is not the main concern of this design.
