AMOR - The Alliance for Medical Outreach and Relief -- takes a close look at Mendota, California, a medically underserved Fresno County community beset by poverty. Mendota is the site of AMOR's first domestic project: a multi-structure eco-friendly facility to serve as an extended hours, primary care health center and hub for comprehensive wraparound social and youth services.
AMOR's vision is to Build Healthy Communities Worldwide. This look at Mendota highlights the need, and scratches the surface of what many call "third-world conditions" in the midst of California.
