"Xanadu" from Rush' "A Farewell to Kings" album (1977).
Why does your bass always sound of tune when you're trying to playing along with this crazy song? Well, they apparently had to tune this song up a little bit, so a normal instrument tuner won't be very useful unless it shows the cents. It's difficult to hear if your instrument is tuned perfectly, but I'd say it's between 40 and 50 cents higher than the normal A=442 standard tuning.
Anyway, Xanadu is pretty difficult. Lots of variations, lots of tempo changes and lots of these little riffs where you have to be quite fast with your fingers.
You can go nuts in the final 10 seconds. Use three fingers, one finger, whatever, just keep playing that low E. I felt like this was the perfect opportunity to test the Bryan Beller flicking technique here.
Some important information that nobody is going to read.
