The usual explanation treats motion like an add-on, something the universe occasionally does. But that’s misleading. Motion isn’t the exception. It’s the default.

Once you see it this way, the universe becomes stranger—and far more beautiful. Stability doesn’t come from stopping. It comes from motion balancing motion. Orbits exist because falling never quite finishes. Structures form not by freezing in place, but by endlessly adjusting. Even “solid” matter is a dance of parts that never settle down.

Nothing stays still—and that isn’t a flaw in the universe. It’s the reason anything exists at all.
