Demographer Bernard Salt says Australians are “reimagining” what quality of life and lifestyle mean.
Mr Salt spoke at The Courier-Mail’s Future Brisbane editorial campaign and event on Friday which will explore how the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games can be a catalyst for improving liveability across the city.
“Australians are reimagining what quality of life and lifestyle might mean,” he said.
“We will deliver more kids, more students, more career ‘peakers’ – those 47-year-olds, and more elderly over the next ten years, particularly in Brisbane.
“This I think lays the foundation for a Brisbane that is better articulated, better nuanced to the demography that is evolving and to the values of the Australian people.”
