Faces of Health | A story of hope and healing in Herat, Afghanistan

Описание: From the heart of a far suburb in Herat, Afghanistan 🇦🇫, Farahnaz Rahmanyar walks every day from one doorstep to another to deliver health care, hope and education to hundreds of people. For eight years, she has devoted her life to one dream: a healthier community.

Her dedication and compassion has earned her trust and respect among her community. Thanks to Farahnaz:

🔵hundreds of pregnant women are attending routine checkups
🔵more children under five are receiving life-saving vaccinations
🔵mothers have learned to protect their children from malnutrition

With training from WHO, Farahnaz became skilled in managing acute respiratory infections, diarrhoea, malaria and other diseases. People now look to her not only as a health worker, but as a neighbour they can rely on.
