Filming the AC boats is just a hobby I picked up during the last cup.

Location: Auckland, NZ
Wind at time of filming: 10-20kts E (Towards Camera POV)

ETNZ rigged up just inside the inner harbour today. As they set sail the squall was looming from the other side of Brown's Island. After just a few minutes the wind had picked up, reaching 20kts briefly, and visibility was fading. The boat did a lap of the surrounding area and slowly headed upwind where they eventually disappeared into the rain.
The next I saw them was under tow from around the northern end of Rangitoto.
