This is Metrolink's Riverside Downtown Station. Amtrak's Southwest Chief trains #3 and #4 stop hear as well. Train #3 en route from Chicago, IL, arrives early morning and train #4 arrives from Los Angeles, CA, in the early evening.

Metrolink services this station with three different routes. The 91/Perris Valley Line runs from Perris, CA, to Los Angeles Union Station via Fullerton on BNSF's San Bernardino Subdivision. The Inland Empire-Orange County Line runs from Downtown San Bernardino, CA, to Oceanside, CA, starting out on BNSF's San Bernardino Subdivision, then transitioning to the LOSSAN Rail Corridor. The Riverside County Line runs between Riverside-Downtown to Los Angles Union Station via Pomona on the Union Pacific's Los Angeles Subdivision.

While on the platform, an announcement came over the station PA system informing passengers that train 709 en route to Los Angeles had struck a person on the tracks in Moreno Valley. Unfortunately, that person was killed, and train 709 was canceled. The accident occurred around the Van Buren overpass.
