This run had a lot of mistakes and there's plenty of room for improvement, but I'm happy enough with this score for now.

Neko Navy is a doujin STG from 2017. This has been on my radar for a while, but watching Cave stream the game a few weeks ago really made me want to play it. And it ended up being one of my favorite doujin games. Almost everything about it is of very high quality; the game systems are well thought out and fun to dig into, there's a lot of content between the three difficulties, six different characters to choose from, and alternate stages, it has a good soundtrack, and the graphics are very nicely drawn. My only major complaints are with the leaderboards being mixed (every character should have its own table; scores aren't comparable between them), and the training mode lacks too many options (the worst being how you can't choose the ura stages or start from boss fights). Other than that, it's a great game and I recommend it to anyone with a PC or Switch. It goes on sale fairly often on Steam, so keep an eye out for that (I got it for $5).
