Hiking and Camping at Enchanted Rock Texas State Park

Описание: I took a trip to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area to go hiking and camping, hoping to test my camping gear and challenge myself with an overnight stay. This trip was all about seeing how well I could handle cold-weather camping while enjoying the beautiful trails of one of the most iconic Texas state parks. I spent the day hiking the Loop Trail, which offers stunning views of the park’s massive pink granite dome, rugged landscapes, and diverse Texas wildlife. After a fantastic day of hiking, I set up my campsite before the sun went down, ready to settle in for the night.

Unfortunately, as the temperatures dropped, I quickly realized my camping setup wasn’t up to the challenge. My sleeping bag and gear weren’t warm enough for the unexpectedly cold night, and despite my best efforts, I couldn’t stay comfortable. Eventually, I had to make the tough decision to pack up and leave early. It was disappointing, but also a learning experience—I now know what I need to improve for my next camping adventure. This trip didn’t go exactly as planned, but it hasn’t discouraged me from trying backpacking and camping again in the future.
