The Moog One is Moog's first polyphonic analog synth in over 30 years. Available in 8-voice and 16-voice models, the Moog One’s polyphonic sound engine features the most powerful synthesizer architecture ever developed for a Moog instrument.

The Moog one has 3 newly-designed analog VCOs (triangle core w/ tri, saw and pulse waveshapes), with independent waveshaping per VCO, oscillator sync, ring mod, oscillator & filter FM, 2 independent multimode resonant analog filters (State Variable: HP, LP, BP, Notch... Ladder: LP, HP), a dual-source analog noise generator (red, white, purple) and an analog mixer.

It also has external audio input, 4 LFOs, 3 envelopes, an arpeggiator, sequencer, built-in Eventide effects, extensive modulation matrix, 61-note keyboard with aftertouch, XY-pad, and is 3-part mulitimbral for creative splits, layers and performances.

The Moog one is the culmination of Moog's research and development over a number of years to produce their most advanced polyphonic synthesizer yet. The Moog One has the ability to create vast ambient soundscapes, cutting leads, lush pads, deep bass, brash brass and complex harmonic textures.

This in-depth Moog One 16-voice deep-dive synth demo and sonic exploration covers a number of presets, sounds and patches that showcase its power and capabilities. I was lucky enough to be able to test the Moog One synthesizer at a Tom lee Music store (www.tomleemusic.ca), as they had it on loan for a few days.
