Nizam Sugar Factory Bodhan History | Asia's Largest Sugar Factory | Deccan Diaries Ep. 72

Описание: Established during the era of Hyderabad's last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the factory developed into far more than a sugar-producing facility. Around it grew an industrial community with workshops, warehouses, railway infrastructure, employee housing, a hospital, community facilities and other supporting infrastructure.

The factory's documented industrial complex included the Mill House, Boiler House, Central Workshop, Tractor Workshop, Crushing Unit, Distillery, Administration Block, Laboratories and Sugar Godowns.

The factory was also connected to a wider agricultural and transport network. Historical documentation records its relationship with sugarcane cultivation, railway infrastructure and material-handling systems.

Later, the factory went through major changes in ownership and management, including the 2002 divestment process. Contemporary reporting from 2002 records the proposed joint-venture structure in which Delta Papers would hold 51% and the state/Nizam Sugars 49%.
