It’s time for another food review! Today, I’m diving into Peanut Patch Canned Boiled Peanuts. If you’ve ever traveled through the South, you’ve likely seen fresh boiled peanuts being served up at gas stations, roadside stands, or even out of a crockpot. They’re a beloved Southern snack with a history that dates back centuries.
Boiled peanuts have their roots in the agricultural South, where farmers found a way to preserve green peanuts during the harvest season by boiling them in salty water. Today, they’re celebrated as the official state snack of South Carolina, and their salty, tender goodness is a must-try for anyone visiting the region.
But how does the canned version stack up against the fresh, roadside variety? In this video, I open a can of Peanut Patch boiled peanuts to find out if they bring that classic Southern charm to your pantry. Are they worth it? Do they hold up to my memories of the fresh version? You'll have to watch to find out!
