At the workshop of the MCC School of Social Science and History, analysts from the Institute for Development & International Relations (Zagreb, Croatia), the Institute of European Studies (Belgrade, Serbia), and the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Budapest, Hungary) explored the possible impacts of the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the inflation, and the constant migration pressure on the political constellations in Western Balkan countries. Further, experts from the University of Sarajevo and Aljazeera Balkans provided a detailed insight to the social-economic-political challenges of Bosnia-Herzegovina, with special regards to the results of the October 2022 general elections. Last but not least, experts from the European Security and Defense College and the Sofia-based Center for Study of Democracy looked at the possible reasons for the continuous government crises in Sofia, taking into account the current internal tensions and geopolitical concerns of the country.
