虎斑竹の特徴は何と言っても表皮に浮かぶ日本唯一の美しい虎模様です。しかし、その虎模様は群生している竹に鮮明に浮かんでいる訳ではありません。美しい虎竹細工をお届けするには、伐採後に竹の「油抜き」という加工や「矯め直し」と呼ばれる竹の矯正作業が必要なのです。
