Phoenix “Lisztomania” live May 16, 2024 @ Ogden Twilight Series (Ogden, UT)

Описание: So good!! Phoenix are so good live. They brought such great energy and the audience gave it right back at them. It was one of those awesome nights where the band and the audience are both loving it. Also a couple of weeks ago Phoenix sounded great performing this song at the Paris Olympic's Closing Ceremony!

This song is one of those classic Indie anthems that just makes you happy ever time. The song reached either #10, or #11 or #4 in the US depending on what list you look at, which is crazy high for an Indie song, showing the song's power had strong cross-over appeal. It's just so catchy and has great energy. This song helped propel Phoenix to getting the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.

What exactly is Lisztomania? Well, it's being fanatical about Liszt, as in the classical composer Franz Liszt. And Phoenix didn't invent the word, it was a word used back in the day, so apparently people were gaga for Franz Liszt back in the mid 1800s. Phoenix's video is pretty cool, showing scenes at the Franz Liszt museum in Bayreuth, Germany. Check it out here:    • Phoenix - Lisztomania (Official Video)   The band looks younger. I'm still trying to figure out why there's a song focused on Fanz Liszt and the album titled with a reference to Mozart (Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix).
