Описание: I am going to show you a dining aid product I chose from a group of mobility aids for eating which is suitable for anyone with vision impairments. This sight impairment solution is an item I selected at the onset of my journey to help prevent food spills. I will demonstrate how it works and how to use it.
After being sighted all my Life, then becoming completely blind, I had to learn how to eat totally blind, as the transitioning period was tricky and difficult. I grew tired of knocking food out of my plate onto the table; and staining many-a-tablecloth in my beginning days of sight loss.😩
This product is ideal for people who are new to blindness and is suitable for Blind, Low Vision, Deafblind, Visually Impaired, Legally Blind, Seniors, Disabled, Sighted, Children, and anyone who may be suffering from Arthritis, or Motor Control / Shakes. These items are available in colors to coordinate with dinnerware — even in translucent, should you wish to dine incognito style. LOL. The translucent items are inconspicuous for People who want to use a standard dining plate but have difficulty scooping food. This item also enables individuals with limited hand and arm mobility to easily push food onto a fork or spoon, promoting the functional independence of feeding themselves.
Tip: If dining in a restaurant with your selected dining aid, don't forget to collect your dining aid off the plate when done and bring a plastic bag to put it in. If no dining aid, ask for a wide, shallow bowl to help hold in your food. It may not be perfect, but it does help.
