Customer concern: steering wheel Buttons and horn inoperative. Also several warning messages on dash displayed.
Scanned car, found several codes related to this module. Found internal failure of clockspring /wiring in this module.
r&r steering column Electronics Control Module with program. cleared codes. re-tested, now buttons on steering wheel and horn works.
Note: This information is for educational purposes only. If you undertake this repair, disconnect the battery (as the driver's airbag will be removed). Exercise extreme caution when working with the airbag system. Alternatively, engage a qualified professional, as this module requires programming.
