In this DUI Video our expert Brisbane DUI Lawyer (Joshua Boorman) discusses a recent matter that he appeared on at the Brisbane Magistrates Court where his client had been charged with a Middle Range Drink Driving Offence where the Blood Alcohol Reading (BAC) was 0.135.

In relation to this matter we assessed whether or not our client was eligible to apply for a Drink Driving Work Licence Qld. It turned out that he was but then we needed to assess whether we could gather the appropriate evidence to have a good chance at successfully applying for a Section 87 Restricted Work Licence.

We needed to assess whether our client would be viewed as a Fit & Proper Person" to be granted a DUI Work Licence and also whether our client would suffer from "Significant Financial Hardship" if he was unable to drive for the purpose of carrying on his business.

We gather the right evidence and filed the appropriate Restricted Work Licence Application. We then attended Court and successfully argued for our client to be granted a Drink Driving Work Licence in QLD.

The end result was that the Court granted him a Restricted Work Licence for a period of 6 months plus a $700 fine.

We had an extremely happy client, whilst extremely remorseful and ashamed he was now able to ensure that he could continue working and focus on being a safer road user in the future.
