Car crash knocks down, damages monument in Gettsyburg

Описание: Heavy snowfall caused a multi-car crash over the weekend, ending with a war monument being knocked over and damaged.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, during a reported snow squall at the intersection of Emmitsburg Road and Wheatfield and Millerstown roads, according to an announcement.

"The two vehicles, when they struck, their momentum carried them into the grassy area and the northwest corner of the Peach Orchard," said Jason Martz Communications Specialist for the Gettysburg National Military Park . "That point slowing down but they did strike the one monument."
