Falconry Words: Molting

Описание: Welcome to my falconry vocabulary series! Today's word is "molting" (sometimes spelled "moulting"). Please note that the information provided here is from my experience as a falconer and with wildlife rescue, I am not a biologist or an expert. "What's wrong with Charlie's leg??"
Charlie was found in the wild with a broken leg that had already healed the wrong way. The bones were already fused, and there was nothing that could be done. (I am not her first owner so I wasn't there at that time.) She is under the care of a veterinarian, the break doesn't seem to cause her any pain or distress, and she has adapted to using it. I watch carefully for any foot problems or signs of discomfort. I have also altered some equipment to make it easier for her to balance. Don't worry! She's fine. Thank you for your concern.
