Formed by chance in 2022 in Chicago, Latter is the noise rock project of Philadelphia-born sound artist Meredith Haines and drummer Jonathan Alvarado (Beach Bunny). The band’s debut album, 'My Body Is My Sickness', fused noise, post-hardcore, screamo, and indie pop into a form that resists containment. After Latter gained national attention with their single "I Don't Owe You", they released 'What Lives Inside of Me', an album that expands on the ferocity of their debut, exploring more the more nuanced, complex emotions that come from picking up the pieces of one’s life after a trauma, as well as navigating womanhood in the entertainment industry. Playing tracks from across their discography, Latter's Audiotree Live performance cuts deep with Haines’ relentless, blistering voice leading the charge. During their interview with Audiotree Host, FINGY, the band chats about the ways in which the project has become their "freedom arena", Haines and Alvarado's musical journeys, and their songwriting process.
