CDS General Anil Chauhan today said,'Ongoing war in Europe & increased tensions in the Indo Pacific arising due to an assertive China has given rise to new alignments, new linkages & new partnerships. There is growing uncertainty among nations & everyone is preparing for an uncertain kind of future. And, this is evident in the large number of security related policies & defence budgets of many nations.' He also added that the Global & regional security environment necessitates that India must continue to build a comprehensive national power, have greater civil-military fusion & attain desired military capabilities to promote as well as protect its national interest.
