Can you destroy a tank by throwing a grenade down the barrel?
Well likely not. Tank barrels are usually blocked off by the breach block. So assuming the breach was closed when you threw it, the grenade could only explode in the barrel. These are made to withstand the pressure from this amount of explosive charge so it’s a conventional grenade will do any significant damage to it.
But the breach is opened when the tank reloads. So if you waited for the tank to fire, then threw the grenade down the barrel, it could go right through into the crew compartment, either wiping them out inside or igniting the tank's ammo
But in most modern day tanks the breach is usually only open for around 5 seconds whilst reloading so you’d have to be extremely speedy making this highly unlikely, but there is one other option....
