A few other things: The fact that the aboriginal people fought using guerilla tactics while colonial soldiers used traditional European ones made many see them as more treacherous. One of Truganini's dying wishes was for her body not to become some sort of scientific specimen. Her skeleton was put on display for several decades, and a bit of her skin was found in a UK medical research institute in 2002.
