Forgiveness is a mandate from God. It is a profound and central theme woven throughout scripture. Forgiveness is the act of pardoning someone for their sins or transgressions, embodying divine mercy and grace.
Jesus Christ is the epitome of forgiveness. Through his sacrifice on the cross he offered forgiveness of sins to humanity.
The entire teachings of Jesus Christ was focused on love and forgiveness. We are called to love and forgive one another.
These are the words of Jesus in the book of Matthew: "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses". (Matthew 6:14-15).
If you have been hurt in anyway, and your are struggling to forgive the person who hurt you, may you receive the grace to forgive as you listen to this message in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
