Both worked at a French pastry café, until their employer forced them apart — only one could stay.
Leon remained, while Annik went to Bamdad Confectionery.

But distance could never break the ocean of love between them.
Through years of hard work and saving, they finally opened Lord Café & Confectionery in 1961, together with a young Armenian couple.
The shop stood on Villa Street in Tehran, just after St. Sarkis Church — a place where love and loyalty became the secret ingredient behind every sweet.

Later in life, Leon and Annik moved to Los Angeles, where they opened another branch of Lord Pastry for their children — continuing the legacy of love, flavor, and family across generations.

A café where every cookie, cake, and cup of coffee tells a story —
a story of true love, nostalgia, and the timeless taste of Tehran.
