The Blue House, designed by Studio MK27 in Brazil’s protected Serra do Guararu region, is a modernist retreat that harmonizes with its lush Atlantic Forest surroundings. Elevated on pilotis to minimize environmental impact, the home features two offset concrete volumes with expansive glazing, wooden screens, and organic landscaping inspired by Roberto Burle-Marx. A raised wooden deck, shaded pool, and rustic stone elements create seamless connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, while simple, natural materials ensure the architecture blends gently into the vibrant coastal landscape.
